Link myCHP to Health Management Apps
UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is dedicated to helping our patients improve their overall health care
experience by providing convenient, streamlined resources to help you manage your health. We are proud to
offer the ability for you to safely, securely, and easily connect health management applications you may
already be using (i.e. fitness trackers, dietary trackers, disease management applications, etc.) to your
health profile. This ability provides access to your health and wellness data that will empower you and
your health care team to make informed health choices.
Please note: Unfortunately, UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is unable to provide this opportunity
to patients who do not currently have a myCHP account. If you would like to create a patient portal
account, please visit the "How do I sign up?" section on
www.chp.edu/mychp. Once you have created an
account, conveniently log in from Children’s free mobile app, ChildrensPgh, available at
www.chp.edu/app.
If you have an upcoming myCHP Video Visit, don’t forget to download the free mobile app, HealtheLife, on the
App Store
or on Google Play, too.
To begin please review and complete the below request form. Once we receive your request, we will work with the
appropriate application vendors to determine if they meet the technical requirements to establish a secure connection
to our system and your health information.
If you have already developed, or plan to develop, an app that you would like to connect to UPMC Children’s Hospital
of Pittsburgh’s Cerner Millennium Electronic Health Record, the first step is to visit
https://code.cerner.com. Click on the "start coding" link to get access to all
the documentation you’ll need to develop against Cerner’s Ignited APIs and ultimately submit your app for review.
At UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh we are committed to enhancing your patient experience and providing a caring
environment of health, wholeness, and hope to each one of our patients.
